Job description
As a Hardware Engineer you will be responsible for installation and troubleshooting of hardware, servers and basic network equipment. You will also provide hands-on activities within a data center environment, using your advanced hardware skills and your global IT
Requirements
- Certifications:
- Being certified HP APS for servers is much appreciated
- Advanced experience (minimum 3 years) with hardware maintenance:
- Maintenance of HP Blade BL20 G1/G2/G3/G4 (HP ASP)
- Maintenance of Proliant servers DL380/580 (HP ASP)
- Tape Librairies (LT0 - DLT - SDLT)
- Knowledge of LAN environments:
- Ethernet, Fiber Optic, ...
- Network topology: Hub, Switch, Routers,....
- Internet Infrastructure with DMZ/Proxy/Firewall
- Knowledge of SAN environments :
- Fiber Channel Networks : topology and FC protocols (notions of WWN and Zoning)
- SAN Server Hardware : PCI FC cards and GBICs
- SAN switches
- Languages:
- Dutch, French and English
- Working Hours:
- Available outside office hours for duty services (1 week per month) or planned activities (at least 6 days per year during week-ends)
