Strong growth in the first half of 2011: up 14.1%

Today, Osiatis, the IT services company specialised in infrastructure services, publishes its sales for the first half of its 2011 financial year, ending on 30 June.

In the first half of 2011, Osiatis recorded consolidated sales of 136.9 million, an increase of 14.1%, of which 9.3% was organic. Following a very strong first quarter, the Group benefited from the positioning of its product offering, its innovations and the successful integration of acquisitions to step up growth in the second quarter.

Strong business growth

Infrastructure Services, which represent 86% of consolidated sales, reported a sales volume of 118.4 million in the first half of the year, an increase of 12.8% compared to the first half of 2010, of which was 9.8% organic. In France, growth was particularly buoyant at 17.1%, of which 13.4% was organic, driven by outsourcing and dynamic service centres; this was supported by an active recruitment policy, with more than 500 new hires since 1 January 2011.

Confirming the upturn that began in the first quarter, the New Technology Developments division achieved strong growth of 23.4% to 18.6 million. Organic growth reached 6.3% during the first half, gathering momentum in the second quarter to 10.7% % (Q1 up 2.2%) due to strong demand and the good reception of ancillary offerings to infrastructure operations.

Osiatis reported international sales (Austria, Benelux and Spain) of 16.2 million, being 12% of consolidated sales, which was a decline of 8.3% during the period. However, due to the change noted in the 2nd quarter (down 6.1%) it is hoped that the trend will alter in the second half of the year.

Renewed confidence in growth prospects

Bolstered by the strong growth achieved in the first half of the year, which was reinforced by a high order taking level, Osiatis is confident that growth will continue, accompanied by an increase in operating margin in line with the objectives announced for 2011.
